ABOUT WENDY PARR

Wendy is a Level 5 IMT Speech Level Singing™ Instructor, the highest certification you can achieve. With over 20 years of experience, Wendy teaches the SLS technique from the unique perspective of being an artist.

Wendy has been performing since the age of 9 (her first performance was Annie for McDonalds) and she hasn't stopped working since. She has appeared on television and stage as both an actress and singer, toured the western United States , worked with Patti La Belle, Bette Midler, Paula Abdul, Lizzie West, director George C. Wolfe, and penned and recorded her debut album Whendae, " Unusual Way ".

Introduced to Speech Level Singing by Seth Riggs, Wendy has trained with and worked beside him for 20 years, believing in the SLS technique and its’ ability to enhance and support the artist to the fullest. A prolific writer, Wendy continues to evolve as an artist and teacher.

She is dedicated to assisting in the development of the clients’ instrument to its fullest – one voice – connected, healthy, consistent and dependable. Wendy is also equally passionate about the growth of her clients’ artistic expression, using the technique to support the clients’ development of his/her unique talent, style, and personal artistry.

It is Wendy’s belief that technique plus the soul is the magic of being a top artist and also the joy of music and singing. The student masters this technique so they can depend on themselves and their voices for their performance, recording and touring. Wendy believes that the whole purpose is to be our best selves – and music is a direct expression of that belief.

Wendy has worked with her clients in many capacities which include vocal rehabilitation, recording studio tracking, live rehearsal, audition training, intensive preparation for touring, private sessions and phone sessions.
